A corner workstation for a living room or study alcove, designed for the household that works at home with a companion in the same room. The desk and the resting chamber are one piece, so the animal can settle within sight of the chair instead of following you from room to room — and the bed is no longer a separate object on the floor beside the desk. The chamber sits in the left return, under the counter: lined in timber on all faces, with a removable long-pile mattress on a sealed, wipe-clean base and a low front lip that keeps the mattress in place and makes entry a step rather than a climb. It closes with a slatted door, so the chamber stays ventilated and daylit and the animal can see the room — and you — with the door shut. The slats also mean the chamber reads as joinery rather than as a crate. Because it is enclosed on three sides and set under the working counter, the space is shaded and quiet while a call or a task is under way. The counter turns the corner as a continuous working surface with a radiused outer edge, deep enough for a monitor and paperwork, with a shallow pencil drawer under the return and a knee space left clear so the chair can move freely past the chamber. The curved end panel protects the corner where the room circulates past. Above, a wall-hung shelf unit with a soft radiused frame carries three tiers across the wall and turns into the corner as a taller cabinet of open shelves — room for books, files, and objects without giving up counter space. Chamber width, internal height, door slat spacing, mattress depth, and lip height are all set from your companion's measurements, age, and mobility; counter height, desk depth, corner angle, and shelf heights follow the room and the way you work. The walnut, pale stone-toned counter, and long-pile textile shown are one direction rather than a fixed specification.
