Description
A low media console for the sofa wall, arranged as three bays: rest, feeding, and storage — so the dog's routines happen inside the same run of joinery that carries the television and the objects. The left bay is the resting chamber. A screen of antique brass rods runs floor to top across its open face, spaced to your companion's head width: full view of the room and of the people on the sofa, unrestricted air, and a clear edge that tells the animal where its territory begins. A removable quilted mattress sits on a raised base, lifted clear of the floor so the sleeping surface stays out of draught and dust. The middle bay is the feeding compartment, closed behind brass-framed glazed doors with recessed brass rings holding the bowls flush in the base. A small brass-framed pass-through hatch in the bay wall lets the dog reach the bowls without the doors being opened, which keeps food and water out of the room's sightline and off the floor between meals. The right bay is ordinary open media storage on brass-trimmed shelves — boxes, remotes, books, and the low-level equipment a television wall needs. The top is a single continuous surface with a raised rear lip, so objects sit safely against the wall and nothing rolls off behind the console. The whole piece is kept deliberately low and horizontal so it reads as a media console first. Nothing about the elevation flags the animal apart from the brass screen and the hatch. Rest bay width, internal height, rod spacing, hatch opening, and bowl diameter are set from your companion's measurements and feeding posture. Lacquer colour, metal finish, and textile are selected against the room; the navy-and-antique-brass combination shown is one direction rather than a fixed specification. Suited to living rooms, media rooms, and open-plan spaces where the television wall is the natural centre of household life.

START MY BRIEF FROM THIS DIRECTION“We'd tried every standard dog bed and cabinet—nothing survived our golden retriever or matched the room. This is the first piece that looks like it was designed for our house. Our guests don't even realise it's a dog bed—they just ask where we got the furniture.”
