Description

A vertical living-room element designed to hold display, material presence, and companion rest in one calm architectural gesture. The Gallery Alcove Column combines a tall display structure with a softly arched companion retreat at floor level. Above, framed shelves and textured panels create depth and shadow for objects, books, stone, glass, or artwork. Below, the semi-circular alcove gives the companion a protected place to settle without placing a loose bed beside the seating area. The column is designed to belong to the room before it announces its companion function. Its dark timber frame aligns with the surrounding wall base and marble surfaces, allowing the piece to read as part of the living-room architecture rather than a separate pet object. The arched opening softens the lower section and gives the resting zone a clear threshold, while the removable upholstered cushion keeps the interior practical for daily use. This is a compact intervention for rooms that need both refinement and care. It brings the companion close to the shared living area, but gives rest a defined place of its own.

“Our whippet finally has a place to settle by the window, and honestly we all fight over who sits next to him. It's the one piece of furniture we'd never replace.”
