Description
A resting chamber built as a piece of formal living-room furniture: a high-gloss lacquered console, a honed marble top, and one long side left open behind a colonnade of polished metal tubes. The screen is the whole argument. A solid door would shut the dog out of the room; an open shelf would leave it fully exposed. The tubes do neither. Spaced to the companion's head width, they give a continuous, uninterrupted view of the room and free air movement, while still drawing a clear physical boundary — the animal is inside its own territory rather than parked in the middle of the floor. Behind the screen the chamber is lined in warm rosewood-toned timber, deliberately darker and softer in tone than the lacquered exterior, with an angled upper baffle that lowers the perceived ceiling over the sleeping position. A removable textured pad sits on the base. The effect is a shaded, acoustically calmer volume inside a bright, reflective object. The closed end carries two deep drawers on concealed runners, fronted with a bullnose lacquered profile and inset metal pulls. They hold leads, brushes, towels, and toys within reach of where the dog actually sleeps, so companion supplies stop migrating to other rooms. The marble top is full working height and full depth — lamps, books, and objects sit on it exactly as they would on any console, which is what allows the piece to hold a primary wall in a formal room. Tube spacing, chamber width, internal height, and baffle angle are set from your companion's measurements and resting posture. Lacquer colour, metal finish, interior timber, and stone are selected against your existing palette; the oxblood-and-nickel combination shown is one direction, not a fixed specification. Suited to formal living rooms, media rooms, entry halls, and dark-panelled interiors where the resting place has to be presentable.

START MY BRIEF FROM THIS DIRECTION“We'd tried every standard dog bed and cabinet—nothing survived our golden retriever or matched the room. This is the first piece that looks like it was designed for our house. Our guests don't even realise it's a dog bed—they just ask where we got the furniture.”
